Charming holiday home in Pinos Del Valle in the beautiful Lecrín Valley, Granada. The perfect place to relax and unwind with a friend or a loved one.

Authentic Spanish holiday home

Quaint and authentic Spanish holiday home, complete with a private rooftop terrace and shared pool, in the pretty white washed village of Pinos Del Valle. Just a 2-minute walk from a bar/restaurant, bakery, and grocery store / delicatessen. The village boasts amazing views of the Lecrin Valley and is just a 30 minute drive to the city of Granada, Coast Tropical and the Sierra Nevada ski resort. 

About the holiday home

Enter the holiday home through an antique wooden door that leads into a pretty communal courtyard with two chairs, where the entrance to the holiday home is located.  

Upon entering the holiday home, you are presented with a spacious hallway. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine floor and roof terrace, as well as down to a storage area for bikes and skis. To the left of the hallway is an open plan kitchen/diner and lounge. The kitchen is provided with an electric hob, microwave and fridge and adorned with pretty lights and pictures. The  dining area  has a table and chairs  next to a window that overlooks the street. The lounge has a large comfortable sofa, smart television, music system and wood burner, making  for a cosy, romantic area, perfect for relaxing in.  

To the right of the hall is a large bedroom with a king-size bed, open plan wardrobe and dressing table, and an  ensuite bathroom. There are two large windows that overlook the courtyard providing plenty of light and ventilation.

There is also a separate shower /laundry room, with access from the hallway. This room also has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Stairs from the hallway take you to a mezzanine floor with a sofa that can be made into a bed. This floor has large windows that overlook the courtyard and makes for a delightful area to relax and read.  

From the mezzanine floor there are stairs that lead to a private roof terrace, which comprises of a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee with views of the surrounding mountains. To the left of this area is a larger patio complete with comfortable seating and a coffee table, making for an ideal area to soak up the sun and enjoy the spectacular views whilst relaxing with a drink. 

The house has central heating and a woodburner with wood provided during the cold months. We are happy to help you build a fire if you require our help. There is wifi and wired broadband, and we have also provided a collection of CD's and books for your entertainment, as well as bluetooth speakers so you can connect your own music.

The house is a no smoking property.

Access the property through an antique wooden door, whereupon you will discover an enchanting communal courtyard bedecked with flowers and the entrance to your holiday home.

You enter the holiday home to a spacious hallway with seating that overlooks the courtyard.

 

Traditional Staircase

From the hallway a traditional staircase leads down to a private storage area for bikes and skis and leads up to to a mezzanine floor. The mezzanine floor can be either used as a  second lounge or a bedroom, as the sofa turns into a bed. From this floor the stairs lead to private roof terrace, which boasts fantastic views of the valley.

To the left of the hallway is an open plan kitchen complete with electric hob, microwave and fridge with a dining area and living room. The kitchen is well equipped with a range of pots and pans, there is also a toaster, a kettle and a coffee maker, so please feel free to use anything you need. 

There are cleaning products under the sink and additional tea towels in the draws.  

The dining area  has a table and chairs  next to a window that overlooks the street  The lounge has a large comfortable sofa, a large screen smart television offering a range of viewing platforms such as Netflix, Amazon and others, a music system and wood burner, making  for a cosy, romantic area, perfect for relaxing in.

To the right of the hallway is a large bedroom with a king-size bed, an open plan wardrobe and a dressing table. There  are 2 windows that overlook the courtyard which allow for plenty of ventilation in the hot months, the bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom.

Stairs from the hallway take you to a mezzanine floor with a large window that overlooks the courtyard and lets in plenty of light. The floor has a sofa that can be turned into a bed, this makes for either a delightful second lounge to relax and read or a second bedroom for a third guest.  

To the right of the entrance hallway there is also a separate shower, toilet and sink with a washing machine and tumble dryer. 

Private Roof Terrace

From the mezzanine floor there are stairs that lead to a private roof terrace, which comprises of a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee with views of the surrounding mountains, to the left of this area is a larger area which comprise of comfortable seating and a coffee table, where you can  enjoy the spectacular views whilst relaxing with a drink. 

Shared Pool

There is a shared pool (approx. 5m x 3m), which is open from May to October. The pool can be accessed from the courtyard though the owners house or walk around the outside of the house and enter through a garden door. For added privacy, you can specify 2 hours of the day where you will have the pool entirely to yourselves if you so wish. 

Local Area

Parking 

On-street parking is available outside the property, however you may find the streets slightly too narrow depending on the size of your vehicle. If this is the case we suggest parking in the main square next to the church in the upper village or in the parking area next to Bar Venezia. These are approximately 2 minutes away from the holiday home, and we would be more than happy to offer our assistance in carrying the luggage from your vehicle to the holiday home.

Neighbours

We are lucky to have very friendly and lovely neighbours. If you see them out and about please say "Hola" to them. In fact please say hola to everyone you see, if possible!

Amenities 

There is a bakery off the main square. The bakery is open every day apart from Sunday. Do try the fabulous croissants 

There is a grocery/delicatessen (Davids), on the main square. This is well stocked and has locally sourced fruit and vegetables, olive oil and honey. It also boasts an excellent meat counter. 

There is a big Mercadona supermarket in Niguelas, a 15 minute drive approximately from Pinos Del Valle. 

Villages of the Lecrin Valley

The Lecrin Valley (Valley of Happiness) is situated midway between Granada and the costa tropical, in the foothills of the spectacular Sierra Neveda mountains. The valley consists of a number of small whitewashed villages . 

Pinos Del Valle - Our holiday home is situated in this lovely village, which comprises of 2 parts situated high on the west side of the lake with greatviews and and dramatic scenery.

Beznar -  A pretty village surrounded by a forest of orange and lemon groves. At the south of the village is the Beznar Dam and Reservoir. It has a church and a bar.

Talara - A lively village with bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks,  a post office, a pharmacy, a butchers, garages and a bakery. 

Mondujar -This lovely village adjoins Talara, it has a large church and the remains of a moorish castle.

Acequias - On the opposite side of the barranco to Niguelas. It is a small but pretty village full of character and abundant water, springs and streams.

Niguelas - Lovely village overlooking  a dramatic gorge. It has a church, an olive oil museum,  shops and bars. 

Murchas - Beautiful idyllic village  with a church .

Chite  -  A pretty village in the  heart of the valley, It has a bar and is  surrounded by mountains and orange groves.

Melegis -  A lovely village in the heart of the fruit growing area, it has a church  and 2 excellent restaurants.

Restabel -  A pretty  and  traditional village with a few shops and a restaurant/bar.

Saleres -A pretty small village with a bar in the main square.

Albunuelas - Lovely  whitewashed village  with a couple of supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

Conchar - Pretty village close to Durcal at the foot of a dramatic gorge. It has a nice central plaza, church and restaurant.

Durcal - A friendly, market town, located on the eastern side of the Rio Durcal with  thermal springs and a  famous iron train bridge . It has lots of shops, plazas, bars and resturants.

El Padul - An attractive old town and a nice church, many different shops, bars and restaurants.

The valley  has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. All of which are excellent and serve food typical of the area, we have listed but a few in the surrounding villages which cater for every budget.

About Us

We are Helyn and Kamil and we moved from Brighton to Pinos Del Valle to live in September 2024. 

Prior to moving, we had been holidaying in the Valley for many years, so we know what visitors to the area are looking for in a holiday home.

We even appeared on Channel 4's A Place In the Sun in 2023!!!! 

We live in the main house next to the holiday home and we are onsite to give you any assistance you need, whether it be advice on lighting the wood burner, where to eat, local walks, or a lift to the bus stop!

Prices
 

£100 / €120

Our prices do not vary throughout the year and are fixed at £100 or €120 per night. Services such as Airport Transfers and other services are not included in the price.

Minimum stay is 2 nights. Check-in is after 2pm and checkout is before 11A.M but we will be as flexible as possible if this does not suit your requirements.
